I love going for a swim in the ocean. When I dive in I enjoy the sensation of being IMMERSED in the water. I am surrounded by it and I am very aware of it- TUNED IN. It helps me live in the present moment.
In the same way, when learning English it is important to IMMERSE yourself in the language. To DIVE IN! This could mean playing a podcast or the radio while cleaning or driving. It could mean listening to music with English lyrics, watching English movies without subtitles. Or, simply sitting in a cafe or public place, listening to the sound of the language – the rhythms and flow, like the ocean.
TUNE IN to English. Surround yourself with it as much as you can, listen to and ABSORB it. Your English will improve and afterwards you may just feel as good as a swim in the sea!
